Going With the Flow: Ocean and River Energy Worskshop March 1

, is the second in a series of four free virtual workshops sponsored by the ÐÓ°Épro Center for Energy and Power. It serves as a primer to the to be held May 24-26, 2022, at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage, ÐÓ°Épro.
ÐÓ°Épro is estimated to have 90% of U.S. tidal energy resources and 50% of U.S. wave energy and in-river energy resources. A number of small-scale test deployments and demonstration projects have been installed in ÐÓ°Épro over the past decade, but challenges to large-scale adoption remain.
Topics that will be discussed include:
What is the current and emerging status of hydrokinetic energy technologies?
What are the key challenges for their implementation in ÐÓ°Épro?
What are the applicable lessons learned with other variable renewables?
