Summit aims to train fishing's next generation

Kristina Andrew took last summer off from drift gillnetting in Bristol Bay’s sockeye salmon fishery to care for her young son. The 30-year-old Dillingham resident is itching to get back on the water next summer. “My dad compares seeing fish coming over the roller to Christmas morning,†she said. “I agree.â€

OneTree ÐÓ°Épro selling luminaria to support outreach

OneTree ÐÓ°Épro is selling ice luminaria to raise money to support its birch sap processing operations next spring and its educational programs. Luminaria will be sold for $10 each through February at OneTree’s studio in the Lola Tilly Commons.
