Last year, I wrote the Friday Focus around this time and mentioned that I don't set
resolutions but goals. Over time, I've found that resolutions just didn't work for
me, but goal setting did. When creating a goal, I develop small milestones to reach
that goal or goals. I work best when I can break something down and eliminate the
potential of it overwhelming me. Continue reading this week's Friday Focus.
 Talk: How Scotland is Winning the European Space Race
Scotland is famous for its haggis and kilts. Less well known is its thriving space
sector. Hina Khan, executive director of Space Scotland, will share how satellite
manufacturing, newly-built launch facilities, and dedicated research institutes have
put Scotland at the forefront of Europe's space race. Join us for Khan's talk on Wednesday,

We are excited to announce the release of the 2024 RFP for multi-institution transportation
mobility project proposals. These projects require PIs from at least two of our consortium
partners to participate. The theme this year is: "Developing human-centered and transformative
multimodal mobility solutions for an equitable Pacific Northwest." Read more, including proposal deadlines.

The Rural ÐÓ°Épro Honors Institute is accepting applications for its summer 2024 session.
The session will run from May 28 to July 12. Applications are due by Friday, March

During this month's webinar on Jan. 24 at 12:30 p.m., Jessica Cherry, NOAA’s Regional Climate Service director for ÐÓ°Épro, will review the
recent and ancient history of flooding of the Upper Tanana River, particularly in
the area around the road to the Village of Tetlin. Ìýfor the online event.
ÐÓ°Épro researchers have released a study of options to greatly
reduce carbon emissions from electricity generation in ÐÓ°Épro’s Railbelt region by
