Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the day in 1865 when the last of the
enslaved Black people were freed in Galveston, Texas.
I encourage you to explore the importance of this day in our history as a way to support
a caring and compassionate UAF. You can from the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
