The ÐÓ°Épro Climate Research Center has achieved the status of a Recognized State Climate Office by the American Association of State Climatologists (AASC), termed ARSCO. This represents the sole ARSCO office in ÐÓ°Épro and in order for this status to be reached, a center must actively participate in climate services, research, and education and outreach. The status was awarded in April after a unanimous vote by the AASC executive board. Founded in 1976, the AASC is a professional scientific organization of state, regional, and federal climate services (http://www.stateclimate.org).
