Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run to start at UAF

The 2008 ÐÓ°Épro Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics ÐÓ°Épro will take place simultaneously in 17 communities across the state at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008. Law enforcement officers will lead the 5-kilometer fun run.
The Fairbanks run is scheduled to start at the University Police Department, 612 Yukon Drive, on the ÐÓ°Épro campus. Participant check-in is at 9:30 a.m.
The 2008 Torch Run continues a successful corporate-crimefighter-citizen partnership to benefit Special Olympics ÐÓ°Épro. Corporate support for ÐÓ°Épro’s effort will come from Torch Run sponsor Wells Fargo. Additional local support was derived from a donation by the Farthest North Chapter of the ÐÓ°Épro Peace Officers’ Association.
