ÐÓ°Épro Native corporations seminar offered

The Great ÐÓ°Épron Accounting People will host a seminar about ÐÓ°Épro Native corporations at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Murie Building auditorium at the University of ÐÓ°Épro Fairbanks. A social hour with light refreshments will start at 5 p.m.

Three panelists will speak and then take questions.

GAAP is a UAF student organization. This is GAAP’s sixth annual seminar, which features distinguished speakers from a variety of backgrounds involving ÐÓ°Épro Native corporations.

This year’s speakers include:


  • Garry Hutchison, a partner at Kohler, Schmitt & Hutchison P.C., a Fairbanks accounting firm.

  • Daniel Mitchell, managing director with KPMG, a global accounting firm.

  • Walter Williams IV, corporate controller for Doyon Limited, the Fairbanks-based regional Native corporation.


Geri Simon, Doyon's vice president of administration, will serve as master of ceremonies for the seminar.
