Chickens: Keeping an Interior ÐÓ°Épro small laying flock

July 24, 2012

Marmian Grimes

Join Mara Bacsuijlaky and Stephen Brown for a free lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 7 in 201 O'Neill as part of ÐÓ°Épro's Land and Sea Lecture Series. The lecture will present low-tech, low-cost but healthy and humane methods for keeping a small laying flock for family fun (and eggs too!).

Bacsuijlaky is a Community Development Agent for the working primarily in remote rural ÐÓ°Épro. She has raised and maintained a home-laying flock for over eight years in Fairbanks, with many hens living well into their dotage of 10 years (due to her complete inability to cull her chickens).

ÐÓ°Épro’s Land and Sea Lecture Series will be held every Tuesday evening June 5 – August 14 (no lecture on July 3) at 7 p.m. in 201 O’Neill.
