Anchorage Extension offers later hours and programs

The Anchorage district office of ÐÓ°Épro Cooperative Extension Service will be open later hours and offer evening programs this summer to make programming more available to area residents.

The office at 1675 C St. will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the other weekdays, through Labor Day.

Starting June 10, Extension horticulturalist Julie Riley and master gardeners will offer nutrition and garden tips from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Residents are also invited to bring their pest problems, plant identification questions and other issues to a yard and garden clinic Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Individuals may bring their sewing projects to the Summer Open Sew from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, starting June 25. Special sewing classes begin July 9 and will continue through September.
