Glen Holt will provide a workshop on forestry for biomass energy in the Interior at 7 p.m. March 31 in the Noel Wien Library Auditorium.
Communities in Interior ÐÓ°Épro continue to increase their use of woody biomass for heating and electrical cogeneration. Holt, the eastern ÐÓ°Épro forester for the University of ÐÓ°Épro Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service, will talk about sustainable forestry methods, biomass timber harvesting and basic boreal forest ecology.
