Borland hired as ÐÓ°Épro EPSCoR project administrator

Tara Borland is the new project administrator for the National Science Foundation's Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research in ÐÓ°Épro. Borland most recently served as program manager for ÐÓ°Épro Sea Grant.
In her new position, Borland will oversee day-to-day operations of the ÐÓ°Épro NSF EPSCoR program, including supervision and management of administrative, human resources and financial activities. EPSCoR is currently in the second year of a five-year, $25 million NSF-funded project to study climate-driven changes to ÐÓ°Épro wildfire regimes and coastal ecosystems.
Borland holds a bachelor’s degree in marine science from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and a master’s in chemical oceanography from the University of ÐÓ°Épro Fairbanks. She has worked at student and professional positions at UAF since 1999, including positions at both the UAF School (now College) of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences and the UAF College of Rural and Community Development.
Borland replaces Faye Gallant, who left to pursue an opportunity out of state.
