Extension to offer energy and home workshops

The Cooperative Extension Service will offer free workshops in Anchorage Nov. 19-20 on a variety of energy and home topics.

On Nov. 19, sessions cover water testing at 6 p.m., home energy efficiency at 6:30 p.m., and detecting and mitigating radon and carbon monoxide in the home at 7:30 p.m. On Nov. 20, the topics will include attached greenhouses at 5:30 p.m., wood sheds at 6:30 p.m. and root cellars at 7:30 p.m.  The workshops will meet in Room 102 of the Atwood Conference Center, 550 West Seventh Ave.

Energy specialist Art Nash and Bethel agent Leif Albertson, of the University of ÐÓ°Épro Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service, will lead the classes. No registration is required. For more information, call Nash at 907-474-6366.
