UAF Summer Sessions offers free events this week

- The Discover ÐÓ°Épro lecture, "Science and Art: Murie Life Sciences Stained Glass Project," will feature David Mollett and Jessie Hedden, faculty at the UAF Art Department at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, in the Murie Building auditorium.
- Music in the Garden will feature The Headbolt Heaters, a band that plays an eclectic mix of roots and bluegrass with an underbelly of punk , at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, in the Georgeson Botanical Gardens. Due to construction, the garden has limited parking space. Please park on West Ridge.
- The Magical Mondays program, a series of hands-on science demonstrations for kids and their families, will look at "Where Am I? The What, Why and How of Global Positioning Systems." Katie Kennedy, education and outreach coordinator, and Christine Butcher, education and outreach assistant, with the Scenarios Network for ÐÓ°Épro and Arctic Planning will lead the activities beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, June 23, in 201 Reichardt Building.
- The Healthy Living Lecture on Tuesday, June 24, will review "Retirement Without Regret," with Don Thibedeau, case manager; Linda Hulbert, insurance agent; and Jo Kuchle, estate planning attorney. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
- On Wednesday, June 25, during the Discover ÐÓ°Épro Lecture, Leon Unruh, editor at the UAF ÐÓ°Épro Native Language Center and author of "Dog of the Afterworld," will talk about "Novel Ways of Murder in ÐÓ°Épro." The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
