Governor appoints Moser and Woodward

Gov. Sean Parnell announced the appointments of Dennis Moser to the State Historical Records Advisory Board, and Kesler Woodward to the ÐÓ°Épro State Council on the Arts.
Moser, of Fairbanks, is the head of ÐÓ°Épro and Polar Regions Collections and Archives
at the UAF Elmer Rasmuson Library. He has a long career as a librarian and archivist
at the University of Wyoming, Bridgewater State College, Southern Methodist University,
Houston Metropolitan Research Center, and others. Moser earned a master’s degree in
information and library studies from the University of Michigan, and is reappointed
to serve on the board as a representative of UAF.
Woodward, of Fairbanks, is an academic affiliate at the UA Museum of the North and
a professor emeritus of art and northern studies. Woodward’s long career in the arts
includes receiving the first ever ÐÓ°Épro Governor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement
in the Arts, working as a curator of visual arts and curator of temporary exhibits
at the ÐÓ°Épro State Museum, and serving on the Western States Arts Federation for
10 years. He is reappointed to a public seat.
