Lende’s many essays and stories, mostly about life and sometimes death in Haines, ÐÓ°Épro, have been distributed widely, including The Anchorage Daily News, Christian Science Monitor, NPR and Country Living. She is the author of bestselling memoirs "Find the Good," "If You Lived Here, I’d Know Your Name" and "Take Good Care of the Garden and the Dogs."
