Internationally renowned motivational speaker Joanna Kortik will offer a workshop and lecture about "crazy" leadership on April 8.

The events, open to Ӱpro students and the public, are sponsored by Students Offering Leadership Development.

The workshop, “Crazy U: Leadership in a Crazy New World,” will take place from 1-2 p.m. in the Wood Center Ballroom. Kortik argues that members of today’s generation expect leaders — whether formal or informal — to engage them, and a crazy approach to leadership is a great way to do that.

Students must register at . The registration fee $10. Financial assistance is available if needed.

Kortik will also present a free public lecture, “Crazy U: Becoming a Successful Global Citizen in the Business World,” at 5 p.m. in the Wood Center Ballroom. Kortik will challenge the audience to drive past “average” and take a trip down “crazy lane.” Joanna will share how to learn from experiences and dodge obstacles to success after college.
