February programs at the museum explore moose

The University of ÐÓ°Épro Museum of the North is exploring moose at hands-on . At Family Day: Moose on Saturday, Feb. 11, from noon to 4 p.m., visitors can talk with experts and explore the role of moose in ÐÓ°Épron cultures. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.

Families are invited to drop in with children age 5 and under at Early Explorers each Friday from 10 a.m.-noon. Junior Curators, for kids 6 and up, meets Saturday, Feb. 4, from 2-4 p.m. A newer program, Teen Studio on Saturday, Feb. 25, offers an opportunity for young adults ages 13-18 to investigate moose biology.

The museum will also offer a Moose Fun program at the Noel Wien Library on Sunday, Feb. 26, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
