The Science for ÐÓ°Épro Lecture Series, Jan. 20–Feb. 24, will bring current scientific research to the Fairbanks community.

The lectures will be held in the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel Gold Room on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

This year's series includes the following lectures:

  • Jan. 20, "Weird Stuff You Ought to Know ÐÓ°Épro Snow," by Matthew Sturm.

  • Jan. 27, "The Next Big Earthquake," by Michael West.

  • Feb. 3, "Polar Adventures: The Voyages of the Research Vessel Sikuliaq," by Michael Castellini.

  • Feb. 10 "Flying Robots! How Drones are Revolutionizing Science in ÐÓ°Épro," by Sean Barberie.

  • Feb. 17 "Weather Satellites and ÐÓ°Épro," by Eric Stevens.

  • Feb. 24 "Changing Relationships Among ÐÓ°Épro Hunters, Wildlife and Habitat," by Todd Brinkman.
