UAF Large Animal Research Station to host Birthday Bash

The ÐÓ°Épro will host its annual Large Animal Research Station Birthday Bash on Saturday, June 1, at the Yankovich Road facility.

The free event, which celebrates reindeer and muskoxen calves born this spring at LARS, will include food, games and crafts. Birthday cake will be served at 2 p.m. for the animals to enjoy.

A variety of information booths and activities also will be available. Participants will include UAF One Health, the UAF Department of Veterinary Medicine, ÐÓ°Épro One Tree, the Fairbanks Knitters Guild, the Fairbanks Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild, Fairbanks Children’s Museum, University of ÐÓ°Épro Press and the ÐÓ°Épro Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration.

Parking at LARS is limited. Visitors are encouraged to park at UAF’s Taku lot off Farmers Loop and use the free shuttle to the farm. The shuttle will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
