personnel in Seward will be moving this summer into new space recently acquired by UAF.

UAF purchased the 19,000 square-foot Orca Building as part of shore-side support preparations for R/V Sikuliaq. SFOS will use about 5,000 square feet for offices and training space. The rest of the space will be leased to other tenants, including the State of ÐÓ°Épro and tribal consortium Chugachmiut, Inc.

The two-story building, located at 201 3rd Avenue, is conveniently adjacent to existing SFOS facilities. Staff are expected to move in by July 1, with additional renovations planned throughout the fall.
