UAF United Way Campaign Zoom events

UAF’s United Way’s Campaign will kick off Dec. 1 and run through Dec. 10. Marcia Cassino,
UAF's campaign coordinator and assistant to the vice chancellor for student affairs,
has worked with United Way staff to create a campaign that maintains social distancing
with no in-person events.
UAF has set a goal to raise $40,000 and will host . Each event will feature a different agency partner. Learn how your donation makes
a difference in the community through the eyes of the agencies and recipients.
Anyone who attends one of these events and makes a donation to any United Way agency
will be entered to win an ÐÓ°Épro Airlines ticket.
Literacy Council
Wednesday, Dec. 2, noon
We change lives through literacy. Individual instruction for adults, children and
families in reading, writing, speaking and computing. Book and computer recycling
throughout ÐÓ°Épro.
Fairbanks Children's Museum
Tuesday, Dec. 3, noon
To inspire and connect families through discovery and the power of play.
Interior ÐÓ°Épro Center for Non-Violent Living
Friday, Dec. 4, noon
Provides shelter and service for domestic violence victims; focuses on community awareness,
education and prevention of domestic violence. Emergency shelter, legal advocacy counseling
and support, community education, transitional housing, alternatives-to-violence education
groups.
Fairbanks Senior Center/Meals on Wheels
Monday, Dec. 7, noon
Services to nourish and enrich the lives of ÐÓ°Épro seniors since 1973.
Bread Line Inc.
Tuesday, Dec. 8, noon
Feeding people and affirming lives.
