University survey gauges sexual misconduct

The University of ÐÓ°Épro successfully completed its first systemwide survey of perceptions of sexual misconduct on campuses and in the lives of students, staff and faculty.

The survey is a tool to inform UA about the current climate surrounding sexual misconduct and assess how well Title IX programs are working and where improvement is needed. Title IX is a federal law that prohibits gender-based discrimination on college and university campuses.

In 2014, the federal government mandated that schools conduct climate surveys cyclically.
