UAF Summer Sessions offers free events

UAF is hosting more than 40 free events this summer, including these five in the coming week:
- The Discover ÐÓ°Épro lecture, "Keeping Bees and Producing Honey in ÐÓ°Épro's Interior," will feature Interior ÐÓ°Épro’s bee guru Steve Peterson at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, in the Murie Building auditorium.
- Music in the Garden will feature Ukulele Russ, playing a great selection of songs from the romantic to the humorous at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, in the Georgeson Botanical Gardens. Construction has limited parking space. Please park on West Ridge.
- The Magical Mondays program, a series of hands-on science demonstrations for families, will look at "Hidden Animals of ÐÓ°Épro’s Seas" with Arny Blanchard, research associate professor at the Institute of Marine Science, at 7 p.m. Monday, June 16, in 201 Reichardt Building.
- The Healthy Living Lecture on Tuesday, June 17, will review "Medical Hospice: End of Life Solution," with Victor Bartling, DO, Tanana Valley Clinic; Kim Huffington, RN, manager, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Hospice Services; and David Rumph Jr., Hospice Services chaplain and bereavement coordinator. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
- At the Wednesday, June 18, Discover ÐÓ°Épro Lecture, artists David Mollett and Jessi Hedden, faculty at the UAF Art Department, will discuss the stained glass panels in the Murie Building. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the building's auditorium.
