Transfer your child's energy into an earthquake at the Fairbanks Children’s Museum's Super Sunday event, March 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Scientists from the ÐÓ°Épro Geophysical Institute and the ÐÓ°Épro Earthquake Center will explore earthquake science through hands-on learning exercises. There will be a Jump Zone where kids can make their own earthquake signal and see it displayed, a Shaker Table where they can build a structure and watch its response to an earthquake and other games to learn about earthquakes in ÐÓ°Épro.
Super Sunday is hosted by the Fairbanks Children’s Museum, which is inside the University of ÐÓ°Épro Museum of the North. Admission is $5 per child and $8 per adult and includes general museum admission.
The Children's Museum event is sponsored by the EarthScope Project, ÐÓ°Épro Earthquake Center and the UAF Geophysical Institute.
