Outstanding Student of the Year
Every year the College of Liberal Arts asks each department to select their outstanding student(s) for that year- students who possess the passion and creativity for new discoveries and scholarship, students who demonstrate independence of thought and action in the pursuit of knowledge, and students who exemplify excellence.

Outstanding Pre-Law Student
"Once I really joined student government, that's when I started to recognize that
other students had needs and we all kind of had a shared experience. That's... when
I really started to get more involved, I would say. I really just think it's a great
experience. Whether it's a student club or student government, I highly recommend
students get involved on campus."
Outstanding Political Science Student
"The [Ted Stevens] internship was something that I was interested in doing from the
beginning... but it absolutely exceeded all expectations that I had previously. Working
in the capital and being a part of that environment was just so special and just really
reinforced that my decision to pursue political science and women's, gender and sexuality
studies was really something I'm interested in."
